The Whidbey Island Pebble Pushers Scholarship

This award is given annually to a undergraduate Geology major who has demonstrated interest and accomplishment in geology.  This award is donated to the department annually by the Whidbey Island Pebble Pushers, and may vary annually in amount (but is typically in the neighborhood of $500).

All students with a GPA at least 3.25 are encouraged to apply.

Deadline

The deadline for applications is typically April 15 , unless that falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case the deadline will be the following school day.

How to apply

Submit the following to Chris Sutton in the Geology Office:

  1. a brief letter of application (no more than one page), describing your qualifications as well as your interest in geology.
  2. a current transcript for any non-WWU coursework only.
