Prospective students and their families interested in geology programs at Western should contact the Geology Department Office for more information. With advance notice, appointments may be arranged with our Undergraduate Program Coordinator.

Observing a geology course during your visit may be possible with advance notice and permission of the instructor. Prior to your visit, we encourage you to check out the our website to learn more about geology programs and curriculum, scholarships and undergraduate research opportunities.

Where are we?

The Environmental Studies Building (ES) is located at the southern end of Western Washington University's campus, about a 10-15 minute walk from the Viking Union and Old Main. From South campus, Fairhaven, and C Lot Parking it is about a 5 - 10 minute walk. 

Parking

Parking is available in the C/CR and 12G lots with no permit needed 4:30p.m.-7:30a.m. weekdays and all hours weekends.

Parking pay stations are located in most “G” lots. They are available for use after 4:30 p.m. weekdays and all hours weekends. For more information please visit the Parking Services web page.

Visitor Permits

Visitor Permits can be purchased online or in-person at the Student Business Office in Old Main 110.  Anyone parking on Western’s campus must display a parking permit and park in the lot assigned except in metered spaces where payment of meter is required. Please observe lot hours and availability on signs at lot entrances.
